UPDATE - Schuyler FFA Team wins State Runner-Up at Ag Demonstration Competition in Lincoln, Nebraska


(Lincoln, Nebraska) May 6, 2005 - The Schuyler FFA team of Lynne Cuda, Kate Wheeldon and Karen Mach won State Runner-Up at the Future Farmers of America Agricultural Demonstration Competition in Lincoln, Nebraska, March 31, 2005. The team advanced from a first place win at their local FFA competition in January.

In their presentation entitled "Stockosorb, the Power of Polymers," Kate, Lynne and Karen explained how polymers work and how they can be applied in agriculture. They demonstrated soil moisture levels and explained the benefits of using polymers in agriculture, including the reduction of irrigation frequency and chemical loss and increased yield.
